Creating a new artist

To add a new artist to your LabelGrid catalogue, follow these steps:
Step-by-Step Guide
Navigate to My Artists:
Go to your Catalog section in the LabelGrid dashboard.
In the submenu, select My Artists.
Add Artist:
On the right-hand side, click on Add Artist. A pop-up window will appear.
General Tab:
Upload Artwork: Upload the artist’s avatar or profile picture.
Complete Artist Information:
Enter the artist’s name.
Specify the language.
Provide the location and artist email.
Input the artist's ISNI (International Standard Name Identifier).
Bio Tab:
Short Bio: Write a brief bio of one to three sentences.
Long Bio: Include a more detailed biography of any length.
Band Members tab:
Credit all writers and contributors associated with the artist. Each member should be entered as a separate entity, and they can have multiple roles.
Completing this information accurately allows LabelGrid to prefill any release data associated with the artist, ensuring a streamlined process for future releases. When creating a release, use the ‘Apply Autofill’ when completing track metadata. LabelGrid will populate the data automatically.
Web Presence Tab:
Social Media Links: Enter all relevant social media handles for the artist.
Streaming Platforms:
If the artist is already on Spotify or Apple Music, provide their profile link.
If yes, check the box stating, "I can provide a link."
If no, indicate "No, I am not on Spotify" or "No, I am not on Apple Music."
If you can provide an artist link, Spotify/Apple will attempt to match the artist to the correct profile on ingestion.
Finish:
After entering all the necessary information, click Finish to complete the artist creation process.
