Lead times

When preparing your release, allow at least 1 week of lead time before your intended release date. This gives DSP editorial teams time to review and potentially feature your release, and also allows for any metadata or audio issues to be corrected without delays.

LabelGrid’s manual review process can take up to 48 hours, provided there are no issues with your release. Once approved, the release will be queued for delivery to DSPs according to the timelines outlined below.

Individual DSP List

Spotify, Apple Music, and Deezer

We can technically deliver and make releases live on these platforms within 6–48 hours after approval. However, we strongly recommend at least 7 days lead time before your go-live date.

This ensures:

  • Spotify’s Release Radar inclusion (Spotify requires 1 week lead time minimum).

  • Time for editorial playlist submissions through Spotify for Artists and Apple Music for Artists.

  • Sufficient buffer to catch any potential metadata or artwork issues before going live.

You can read more about Spotify’s best practices via Spotify for Artists or our support doc.

Beatport, Juno, and others

Niche stores such as Beatport, Juno Download, and others have longer ingestion and approval windows than mainstream DSPs.

Typical processing time is 3–5 business days, but during peak periods it can extend to a week.

To ensure timely publishing, plan your release schedule accordingly and always allow extra time for manual checks and store-specific formatting requirements (e.g., Beatport genre structures, remix tagging, or preview lengths).

Holiday Schedules

During major holidays, many DSPs, including Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, Beatport, and Deezer implement cut-off periods.

During these times:

  • Releases may take longer to process.

  • Store teams may have limited or no staffing.

  • Some DSPs may temporarily pause new deliveries or updates.

While you can still schedule releases during these periods, delivery and go-live times are not guaranteed. For this reason, we recommend scheduling uploads and approvals well in advance—ideally 2–3 weeks before major holidays such as Christmas, New Year, and public holidays specific to your target territories.
