Editing track splits

Track splits allow you to determine how earnings are distributed among artists and the label. This guide will walk you through the steps to edit track splits for your releases in LabelGrid.

Steps to Edit Track Splits

1. Navigate to the Catalogue:

   • Log in to your LabelGrid account.

   • In the main navigation, click on Catalogue.

2. Access the Tracks Section:

   • From the sub-menu, select Tracks to view all the tracks associated with your releases.

3. Edit Track Splits:

   • Locate the track for which you want to edit the splits.

   • View the Actions Menu (Far right column) on the track row.

   • Select Edit Split from the menu.

4. Adjust Artist Shares:

   • You can specify the percentage share for each artist involved in the track.

   • If there are multiple artists, you can split the earnings evenly or customize the splits based on your agreement with them.

5. Review Label Share:

   • The label share at the top of the screen will update automatically based on your artist share settings.

   • Ensure that the total shares do not exceed 100%.

6. Set Default Splits:

   • To simplify future releases, you can change your default split settings in your label settings. This adjustment allows for consistent sharing arrangements across your catalogue.

7. Save Changes:

   • After making adjustments, save the changes to apply the new split percentages.
